Emily Tang is a policy and research analyst with a Bachelor’s from the University of Michigan, where she double-majored in Political Science and Economics with a focus on political economy, institutional analysis, and applied quantitative methods. She has worked across academic research teams at the University of Michigan supporting projects on governance, community-level data, and democratic institutions.
Emily is driven by the belief that reconnecting people to the systems that feed them is essential to building resilient, equitable communities. She brings expertise in stakeholder engagement, economic and market analysis, ROI modeling, and the translation of complex datasets into clear, actionable insights. Her work helps local governments strengthen agricultural infrastructure, expand economic opportunity, and create sustainable, locally integrated food systems. Emily believes that effective, evidence-based policy can create more equitable and connected communities.
