No Nonsense Night
Vertical farming has captured a lot of people’s imagination. It has drawn many people into this young industry, from dreamers to battle-hardened entrepreneurs, from students to politicians. In its early years, the vertical farming industry got so hyped that the mainstream tends to only know the positive aspects, and neglects the challenges.
While visiting Belgium Henry Gordon-Smith from Agritecture wants to take the opportunity to discuss this 'overly optimistic' marketing with 'the Belgians', known for their skeptical mindset but at the same time their diplomatic skills to find a solution for future challenges. Zjef Van Acker, urban farmer himself, will lead the discussion and let the experts formulate the actual facts while involving the audience.
The outcome of this night is to create a new, healthy & constructive paradigm and strategy for Vertical Farming on how to feed the city.
Audience: Farmers, tech providers, startups, researchers, real estate, building companies, urban planning.
