We want you and your ideas. Bold ideas.
Join us in co-designing the future of refugee agriculture—August 18, 2018 in NYC for the 2018 Farms Not Arms Design Challenge.
You’ll be in good company, working alongside a multidisciplinary group of specialists to build solutions and test ideas in real time with refugees in the Bekaa Valley, Lebanon. We are seeking to gather a diverse crowd of volunteers, professionals, and experts: urban farmers, agro-economists, engineers, educators, designers, nutritionists, philanthropists, and anyone with a passion to help.
Together with refugees in the Bekaa Valley, Lebanon we are co-designing a scalable model for self-sufficient, sustainable agricultural ecosystems that will:
- Help local refugees achieve food self-sufficiency.
- Educate the community on modern and sustainable agriculture techniques.
- Create income-generating opportunities.
